Created attachment 95873 [details] The file with the issue I have created a '.doc' file. I created flowcharts in it and grouped them as one item, saved and closed the file. When I open it again, the flowcharts are present and rendered properly. Now I create a caption for the flowcharts, save and close it. On opening again, the flowcharts are completely gone but the frame of the caption is only present. The attached file has a sample flowchart on page 8. Try adding a caption to it. Save and close it. Open it again and the flowchart disappears, leaving the frame of the caption only.
No problem if I convert the file in OpenDocument format and anchor the flowchart to the frame. It is a bad idea to work with old and not standard format. Please use them only as export formats when your work in ODF is finished. As it is known that you will never have 100% compatibility with old MS format, you can expect to avoid the risk of such kind of problem. It is the reason of the warning dialog when you save a file in an non OpenDocument format. That said this bug report is a duplicate of bug 46017. Best regards.
