Description adam.projectbloc 2014-03-17 06:47:35 UTC
Problem description:
You can see a screencast of the problem here:

http://youtu.be/_SdY9EJax6k (View in high def full screen to read entries better)

I am doubleclicking these random "Heading" entries in the Navigator window. Each time I click doubleclick them it takes me to a different page, and sometimes updates the page number in the navigator window. These headings also appear on PDF exports of the file. There is no way to delete these entries. They do not belong to (or appear in) any index or in any special style.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Write a large document
2. add in headings and what-not
3. open navigator window and enjoy the show

Current behavior: not working logically

Expected behavior: to not have random blank entries or the magical ones that automatically change their links and such.

Hi Adam,

I only can reproduce this behaviour when styles (linked to outline) are used in a wrong manner. So I'm tempted to close as WORKSFORME....
Maybe you can attach your sample document to check?

thanks for writing & supporting LibreOffice.

Kind regards,
Cor

I cannot post this particular document for copyright reasons. I can link to the template I used (I wrote it as well) but it doesn't have show the same problem. http://sheekgeek.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Thesis-Template2014.odt

This has been a living document for about 6 years so there may be strange formatting stuff that's hidden in the content.xml that I just can't reformat by hand. it is also like 120 pages long, with images tables, OLE objects, etc.

I don't understand what you mean by the phrase "when styles (linked to outline) are used in a wrong manner". What did you do that was wrong that allowed you to reproduce the error? I have a couple of custom styles, page styles, number styles, paragraph styles.

Sorry for not replying before and that I was not clear enough.

When there are 'empty' entries in the Navigator header section, and clicking those puts the cursor in the header of a page, then usually the header has a wrong paragraph style or some numbering linked to it.
Or the document is corrupt, but I do not expect that to happen often.

Cheers,
Cor

Online surveys are very popular at present. McDonald's has started a customer Satisfaction survey called Mcdvoice Survey. Mcdvoice Survey gives you a chance to enjoy the free meals at McDonald's. You just need to complete the Mcdvoice Survey at mcdvoice.com survey official site https://mcdvoice.win
