Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. File>New>Templates 2. Select a template 3.Click 'Edit' at top of dialogue box Current behavior: 'Due to an unexpected error, Libreoffice crashed...' Can recover template through the recovery process Expected behavior: Template opens and I can edit it. Template is a standard Libreoffice .ott template. Tried the above on some of my other templates. Same result. If I try to open a template by navigating to the appropriate place (i.e.'C:\Users\Stephen\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\template') Libreoffice opens a new document based on that template, and not the template itself. Operating System: Windows 7 Version: 4.2.0.4 release
This issue is fixed, thanks to http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=b071644756772d0b6930ac2e6d27237b67e7febc which is fixed in bug 74787 and other bug reports. This problem is all related to a (de-)selection bug. Can you please retest using LibreOffice 4.2.3 or later (you can download the RC here: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?version=4.2.3). Feel free if you can still reproduce this behavior with this version or later. Kind regards, Joren *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 74787 ***
Thanks Joren. Retested using LibreOffice 4.2.3.1 No crash, works perfectly.
