I saved a spreadsheet in .xls format but when i try to reopen it comes up as unreadable in libreoffice. and Microsoft excel cannot read it also.

Hi Frederic,

I think there's not a lot to be done here. What we would need to move this forward is the working non-corrupted .ods file. If you could provide that and if it reproducibly creates corrupted .xls files, we'd have a bug case.

Also is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest LO release?

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED and attach the additional non-corrupted test document. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME.
