Problem description: The vectors goes well in small letters. But if the letter are big, like b, t, 0....the arrows do not go Steps to reproduce: 1. vec a, works well 2. vec b, works bad, the arrow does not appear. Current behavior:does not appear arrows in vectors like vec b, vec t, vec 0 Expected behavior:arrows over these letters must appear as good as in a, c, x, y..... Operating System: Ubuntu Version: 4.1.3.2 release
I can't reproduce this with LO 4.2.1.1. The arrow in "vec a" and "vec b" appears, the arrow in "vec b" is just placed higher. Can you try with LO 4.2 .. also a screenshot and a example document would be really helpful.

Created attachment 107997 [details] Inconsistencies in rendering the vector sign over caps
Created attachment 107998 [details] Trying to keep the vectors in line with the text The issue remains in 4.2.6.3 (I just tested it in Fedora 20 and Ubuntu 14.04). It has to do with the spacing above the formula. When I edit the formula in Math, everything appears as it should. As soon as return to the Writer document that contains it, vector signs (and other symbols) above upper case letters get cut off, though this doesn't occur consistently (see the attachment above). If I set the top border spacing to 1mm, the vector sign is visible in the text, but then I have to go through hoops to keep the formula in line with the rest of the text. The "E" vector in the screenshot has the top border spacing changed to 1mm and its base is below that of the text. The "P" vector also had its border spacing changed, but then I clicked on "Undo" which resulted in the deformation of the formula box.
I put it at NEW since there are screenshots showing the problem.

I am currently using LO 5.2.3.3 on Fedora 25 and I can no longer reproduce the bug with either vectors or wide vectors. I have also tried ~20 different fonts. Marking as FIXED.
Apologies, I read the message and yet I managed to set it to RESOLVED - FIXED… Changing back to NEW.
