Created attachment 96254 [details] (zipped) CSV file that will cause Calc to die every time. Pushing the chart button immediately crashes Calc after importing a CSV file. Steps to reproduce: * Import attached CSV file using the default values (western europe, usa english, row 1, separated by tab, comma, semicolon) * Push the chart button. * Watch calc burn and die instantly. (Tried nuking my user config, no change.) LO version 4.2.2.1

In a master build few days old (Linux openSUSE, x86_64) I no longer get a crash after clicking on chart button. It just takes ages (~10 minutes) to create the chart
Well that's certainly better than having it outright die, but being blunt there isn't that much data in these to graph. If it's taking 10 minutes then there is still something going very wrong, and your non-crash may simply be a case of excess resources on your machine being available causing it not to crash. (Just hypothesizing out loud a bit here.)
Crashes with v4.4.4.1 under windows 7 x64. Doesn't crash with v5.0.0.0 b3 under mint 17.1 x64, but takes ages to load and process. Then LO becomes unresponsive.

To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. In my version LibreOffice does not crash when trying to create the chart, however it takes approx 2 minutes for the chart to be created. Version: 6.0.3.2 (x64) Build ID: 8f48d515416608e3a835360314dac7e47fd0b821 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.3; UI render: GL; Locale: en-GB (en_GB); Calc: CL
Does not crash on Win either (I did not have time to wait for the generation). I should open a new issue about the perf later.
