The legends in my Calc charts have disappeared in my new version of Libre Office. I have loaded previous spreadsheets, which had legends in their charts, but now they do not appear, just the legend box.
Can you please attach a test document.

You will see it is a spreadsheet on which I keep my finances up to date, so I have removed or changed all the data. I keep the document on the cloud and have accessed it using Libre Office 4.1.3.2 on a Linux machine with no problem, but accessing using Libre Office 4.2.0.4 on Windows 7 using both 32 bit and 64 bit machines does not show the legends on the charts. Have now found that I am able to see the legend if I change the format from "No transparency" to "100% transparency" Although "No transparency" shows the legend in 4.1.3.2
let's go back to UNCONFIRMED since the reported posted test files. @Steve Ward are you still reproducing this bug with current 4.2.5.2 release?

tested under Win7x64 legends are invisible in 4.2.0.4 but show up correctly like in previous comment screenshot in 4.2.4.2, so bug has been fixed in 4.2.x I mark this RESOLVED WORKSFORME
