Are you on windows?

Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest LO release? Currently 4.2.2: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/

Please also try resetting your user profile and let us know if that helps: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

Thanks for providing additional information. Unless you can reproducing it elsewhere and with previous versions (please clarify), I’m modifying this report’s version and platform fields to match the info provided in your attachment.

no crash with LibO 4.1.5.3 and 4.2.3.3 under Win7x64

did you try to upgrade to 4.2.3.3?
Comment 5 sophie 2014-04-15 13:03:04 UTC
Hi, I could not reproduce with Ubuntu 13.10 Version: 4.2.3.3
Build ID: 882f8a0a489bc99a9e60c7905a60226254cb6ff0 - Please, as adviced by Foss, try to reset your profile - Sophie

Hi, guys

Thanks a lot for your comments, according to the previous suggestions:

1. I've tested under windows 7x64 using the version 4.1.5.3, Build ID: 1c1366bba2ba2b554cd2ca4d87c06da81c05d24 and the issue seems not present

2. I've tried to reset the LibreOffice's profile as Foss's link specifies, and the issue persist (the folder "user" was renamed to "user-old" and then when libreOffice start your execution a new folder "user" is created). For this test the LibreOffice's version was the same 4.2.2.1 and Build ID: 3be8cda0bddd8e430d8cda1ebfd581265cca5a0f

3. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

4. I haven't test using version 4.2.3.3 (Where I can download it?)

Best Regards
Allan

Hi guys

I've tested using LibreOffice 4.2.3.3 Build ID: 882f8a0a489bc99a9e60c7905a60226254cb6ff and the issue persists

First - always best to install via ppa when possible. In this case - very much possible.

https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/libreoffice-4-2

Note that there will be no "Check for updates" with that - every time you do a sudo apt-get update it will technically check for updates and if you have auto checks enabled on your system it will check for updates.

Suggestion is to purge libreoffice completely, install ppa and then install libreoffice using apt-get

Second - I cannot confirm the problem with 4.3 beta1 on Ubuntu 14.04 x64

@Allan Chavarría
please give feedback about the current bug status with 4.2.6.3 or 4.3.2.2 release.
Comment 11 A (Andy) 2014-10-25 07:59:36 UTC
for me also not reproducible with LO 4.3.2.2 (Win 8.1)
Comment 12 Paul Harry Jennion 2014-11-09 10:09:35 UTC
I am trying to update Libre Office, but the download of the installer has failed twice. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.
Comment 13 Joel Madero 2014-11-09 15:12:12 UTC
Highest is reserved for MAB - this seems to qualify so I'll put it on there but in the future please don't adjust importance/severity without knowing how we manage those. Thanks
Comment 14 Joel Madero 2014-11-09 15:13:12 UTC
Also a backtrace would be fantastic: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/How_to_debug
Comment 15 Timur 2014-11-18 18:38:47 UTC
It doesn't make sense to have this in mab4.3 - if I understand well, it's still not known how it happens. I don't know how it became 'new'. Please remove.

yes, it doesn't qualify as as MAB. removing it.

status NEW was set in comment 12 which doesn't seems a valid confirmation...

that user is talking about failing to download the installer, not about a crash after "check for updates".

so I revert original parameters and set status to NEEDINFO waiting for feeback of the original reporter

@Allan Chavarría
is this bug still present with current LibO 4.3.x releases?
Comment 17 Allan Chavarría 2014-11-19 01:28:18 UTC
Hi Guys

I was checking in ubuntu 12.04 using LibreOffice 4.3

Version: 4.3.4.1
Build ID: bc356b2f991740509f321d70e4512a6a54c5f243

And I have not had problems anymore

Best Regards
