Tested using Mac OSX 10.9 with LibreOffice Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 619b4c40da9e85febbb08a3f7cf8aa8d10963fc1 TinderBox: MacOSX-x86@49-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-04-18_00:07:53 I guess I fail to reproduce reported behavior. @Nima: can you please retest using the most recent version you can find here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/MacOSX-x86@49-TDF/ Thanks. Kind regards, Joren
Dear Joren, Please see the difference. (left frame is a libreoffice default but the right one is made by me.) https://www.dropbox.com/s/1uwg457g6bf7vk9/Screen%20Shot%202014-06-22%20at%2011.50.14%20AM.png Best regards, Nima On 4/19/14, bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org <bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org> wrote: > https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77304 > > Jorendc <jorendc@libreoffice.org> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDINFO > CC| |jorendc@libreoffice.org > Ever confirmed|0 |1 > > --- Comment #3 from Jorendc <jorendc@libreoffice.org> --- > Tested using Mac OSX 10.9 with LibreOffice Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ > Build ID: 619b4c40da9e85febbb08a3f7cf8aa8d10963fc1 > TinderBox: MacOSX-x86@49-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-04-18_00:07:53 > > I guess I fail to reproduce reported behavior. > > @Nima: can you please retest using the most recent version you can find > here: > http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/MacOSX-x86@49-TDF/ > > Thanks. > > Kind regards, > Joren > > -- > You are receiving this mail because: > You reported the bug. >

Created attachment 101512 [details] how it looks in 4.2.5 on linux Hi Nima, I grabbed the BBCNassim font from < http://awebfont.ir/fonts?cat_id=1&fonts_id=1776 > as you had mentioned in IRC, as its used in the provided odp file and this problem seems to be isolated to OS X as i can reproduce the shrunken text on linux. Please let us know which version of OS X you are running.
Hi :) I am on OS X 10.8.5. Is this a problem with unsupported font weights again ?
In other words, incomplete CoreText support ?
@Nima : which version of the font are you using OTF or TTF ?
There have also been issues around RTL support too, so maybe one of these is the cause ?
The font is TTF. The font is only supported by LO in the Normal font weight (it only has one weight Regular according to OSX fontbook), but whether this is the reason or whether it is a kerning problem due to incomplete font API support in the Mac version of LO, I don't know.
Created attachment 101537 [details] Converted PDF of ODP file
That overlay problem is reminiscent of other existing kerning issues in proportional fonts.
