I need to copy content of many webpages each day (news, newspapers articles, ... etc) into Writer Documents. I know that so far I can copy these pages and insert them with their formats with STRG / Ctrl + Shift + V => HTML I also know that the pictures I then have to "unlink" so that they are implemented/embedded into the document. (for offline use) My question is: Would it be not much more convenient to just paste all formats with STRG/CTRL + V into the Writer-Document by default? I mean, writer is an office tool not an simple text editor. So people want to have texts with formats - and normally they do not want to reformat the web content themselves but keep the preformatted style. So why not set it back to how it worked before? (Because since the new version of LO-Writer >4.2.2.1 it changed - why?) Web content often uses pictures. Does it not make sense if you copy webpages that pictures are embedded into your document as well by default?? I know that Documents might get bigger then - but in that case (which might be more seldom the case) people could unlink those pictures so that they are not embedded. I have to archive webpages and I need these pages with pictues. Pages might be changed after a while or disappear so I want to archive them. It is a lot extra work to unlink all Pictures in every document to make sure that they are embedded and I know from many people who were frustrated cuz they wanted to show documents offline or with bad internet connection and the pics were missing. I hope you find the time to think about my two suggestions. I know they are not new. They would make work a lot easier for most peaople. Thanks for your help / time.
