Description Mats Sibelius 2014-04-26 14:28:47 UTC
Problem description:
I get a macro warning on a spreadsheet with no macros

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a library and javascript-macro for your spreadsheet and then remove the whole library.
2. Save spreadsheet and close it.
3. Open the spreadsheet.

Expected behavior:
Shouldn't get any warning when I don't have any macros. But a Scripts -folder remains in the document when I open it with 7zip.
Removing this folder gets rid of warning.
Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.2.3.3 release

I'm also affected by this bug and I'm using Libreoffice 5.1.2.2. I'll upload an example spreadsheet that has the problem.

I used to use macros with this spreadsheet, which contains earnings and dividends data for Australian shares, but found that unfortunately LO Basic is buggy and unreliable so switched to using an external Python script with pyoo to manipulate the spreadsheet.

The problem is that even after deleting the macros on this spreadsheet I still get the macro security warning whenever I open it, which is very annoying.

Similar to the OP I opened the document file with Ark (a GUI zip file editor on Linux) and deleted the 'Basic' folder and that fixed the problem. This is a pretty hacky workaround though, and very worrying to have to go into a document like that and play around with it.

In bibisect 64-6.3 version ce48fdd9, s-h 4abdaf4a, 2019-06-04, running

file and on newly created spreadsheet and on two newly created
embedded databases.

Dear Mats Sibelius,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword
