Created attachment 98280 [details] Figure for the situation I would like I would like a feature in LibreOffice Impress that we can choose not word-wrap the text in a text box or other boxes, which is implemented in MS PowerPoint. The feature of fitting the text box to the text is not enough because only the center of the box can be fixed when the text is changed. (I would like to fix the left or right end of the box.) Operating System: All Version: 4.2.3.3 release
Created attachment 98308 [details] odp file with a textbox and a form I am not sure if I understand your request correctly. In the attached file you can see that the word wrap can't be desactivated in a textbox but is not activated by default in a form. What could be the utility to not wrap the text in a textbox? Best regards. JBF

LibreOffice can overflow the text with the text centralized, as you show. But it cannot align the text with the left or right end of the text being fitted to the left or right end of the shape (without word-wrapping). I added the sample made by PowerPoint (attachment 98433 [details]) and its screenshot (attachment 98434 [details]).
Created attachment 98443 [details] ODP file with text anchored top left In LibreOffice you need to change the text anchor which is top center by default. If you choose top left, you get the same thing as MS-Powerpoint. Select the form, right click and choose "Text". Best regards. JBF

Thank you for the explanation. I could not find that the option "anchor" should be changed. I examined the relationship between the anchors in PowerPoint and LibreOffice Impress and submitted Bug 78308.
