Description Yan Pas 2014-05-19 09:04:31 UTC
Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add picture to slide
2. Choose "start with previous"
3. Exit office, make sure that office.bin is no longer in process list
4. Start slideshow
Current behavior:
The picture's animation works only "on click". The way to fix this is choose "on click option" and then again "with previous"
Expected behavior:
Picture animation will start automaticly

PS I also affects on all objects (text, videos etc.). The bug affects ppt, with odp everything is OK.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.2.4.2 release

Hm - I need to put this in NEEDINFO - it seems like you are missing some steps:

I don't understand how you never applied an animation but then you expect one to exist? what does "2. Choose "start with previous"" mean? Please fully list out every step and then mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED. Thank you!

I will start again and switch to English language my office suite.
1)Open Impress
2)Save empty presentation as *.ppt (!important, this bug occurs only with ppt (I can't use odp because of incompatibility with iPad))
3)Add picture to the first slide (picture 1)
4)Create second slide and place there another picture (picture 2)
5)Click on the picture 1 and choose custom animation tab
6)Press plus (add effect) and choose any entrance effect
7)Below instead of Start "on click" choose "with previous". This is located below custom animations list, titled with "Effect split". I hope you understood me. Now our picture animation will start automaticly, without clicking.
8)Make steps 5-7 with second picture
9) Save presentation. (PPT!!!!)
10)Open it again, with restarted office suite.
11)Click "Sildeshow"
12)Custom animation works on click, but we have set recently "with previous". <-- THATS THE BUG
13)We need again to choose "with previos" for every picture. (First choose "on click", then again "with previous.

PS English is not my native language. If it is hard to understand too I may capture video.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.3 or later)
   https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

   Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results;
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

Thank you for your help!
