+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #78807 +++ Version: 4.2.5.0.0+ Build ID: da739f729223908516deb1c2564d0713231abb5b Tested on WinXP http://www.bissell.com/assets/0/132/134/228/78366bd2-6286-4bf0-a2c1-0aa5491466e6.pdf Loading above PDF in libreoffice is slower compared to loading in Firefox using PDF.js It stay at 2/3 for some time, before progressing.
Please be more specific - there is new Firefox version every 6 weeks, so which version of FF and PDF.js you are using? Also I would not benchmark anything against PDF.js without checking other viewers. Additionally please define slower or some time - a few seconds or minutes?
PDF.js on Nightly 32.0a1 (2014-05-22) If the above PDF 78366bd2-6286-4bf0-a2c1-0aa5491466e6.pdf is saved on local drive. Then PDF.js takes approx. 2 to 4 seconds to load/render that PDF file. when LO takes more than a minute on the same PC. In LO user see the progress bar changing for approx. first 9 seconds, reaching 2/3 length. Then it waits for 50 to 60 seconds, to continue seeing any change in the progress bar.
loading that PDF file in LibO 4.2.4.2 under Win7x64 is very slow on my PC (more than 2 minutes) status NEW
