Problem description: If I press CMD + A, the document data does not get selected, but the Bold button gets pressed. If I go to edit > select all I see that CMD + A is the configured shortcut. Steps to reproduce: 1. Type something 2. Press CMD + A 3. .... Current behavior: Bold style is set Expected behavior: All the text gets selected Operating System: Mac OS X Version: 4.2.4.2 release
Confirmed that it doesnt effect Linux or Windows.
Works fine for me on Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: eea173edaa70959c36085d659b9c6786c2002849
Also works fine on : Version: 4.2.0.4 Build ID: 05dceb5d363845f2cf968344d7adab8dcfb2ba71 tested on osx 10.9.3
Which version of osx are you using ?
Hi: It does not happen with new documents, just with .docx. Also, I said 4.2.4.2, not 4.2.0 or 4.4. I use Mac OS 10.9.2 If you need the document that causes bad behaviour, ask me.
Where does it say in your initial report that you were having problems with docx files ? Unless you provide us with complete instructions for reproducing, we can only second guess at best. Please upload the troublesome document if there is nothing confidential about it.
Can't reproduce with LO 4242 either with a pre-existing odt file or newly created one, so maybe either specific to docx import or your particular docx file
Created attachment 100421 [details] File I'm facing problems with
Sorry Alex, I was using LO as usually and faced this problem so I thought it might happen always. I said it was happening with MS Word files because I tried it again after you told it was OK and realized that only happened under some circumstances... I've attached the file.
The file you posted is doc, not docx ? In Word 2011 for Mac, I can't "select all" via the shortcut either, so what makes you think this is a LO only bug ? In LO, if a document contains a table at the beginning as the first paragraph, then you can not use the shortcut to select all. This is a known limitation. On the Mac, both LO and Word behave the same.
However, I am confirming the behaviour that the cursor jumps to the beginning of the paragraph in the footer instead of selecting the whole text of the body, that is why you see the Bold and Left justified attributes.
Changed title to reflect behaviour, confirming
Definitely a bug, but whether it is the import filter or the select mode function is as yet undetermined.
10.10.3 + LO Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 4e0d2fcdda3f639a05118b25ef99d8a4848302ce TinderBox: MacOSX-x86_64@49-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2015-04-13_06:20:15 Locale: de_ confirmed. open test file, cmd + a to select all > nothing happens. Works in Word 15.8.
