the appearance of the contend of a cell can be manipulated with the colours tools -one for background colour, one for foreground (the letters or numbers, sorry for my englisch) both are SET anyhow ... when the dialog is opened, filling colour can be selected or beeing not modified anyway or set to "no filling" else colouring letters / numbers can be set to "automatically" WHEN OPENING THE DIALOGS either : (a routine could be executed to) the colours could be set to the colours of the actually selected cell automatically or : there could be a second button to get these values and set them (a routine on pressing the button could be executed to) regards juergen
another method to set the colours could be extend the "brush tool" clicking on brush tool could call a routine to set the colours of the foreground / background tool. this could eleminate the need of flipping the colours dialogs. the brush tool, when activated needs to be used or "escaped". The "escaping" could / should the be done too, by using the coulors knobs
