Created attachment 101054 [details] the picture is inside Problem description: Incorrect paragraph indents in sidebar Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a new presentation 2. Type some paragraph with left indent 1 cm and first line indent (-1) cm 3. Save the document (in *.odp), close and open it Current behavior: The left indent is shown as 0.18 cm in the sidebar Expected behavior: It must be 1 cm In general, the sidebar quite often shows paragraph parameters incorrectly. Cannot find out what it depends on. Operating System: Windows 8 Version: 4.2.4.2 release
Repro, tested using Mac OSX 10.9 with LibreOffice Version: 4.3.0.0.beta2 Build ID: a06aa316117a6ff0f05c697c82831c227812d810 Kind regards, Joren
Likely related to bug 68806.
If i directly click on the text in the paragraph, it shows 0.18cm, but if i click on the image first and then click on the paragraph text it shows as 1.00cm. I have also noticed that clicking around will cause unknown values to appear in the spacing and indenting fields.
Yeah, I often see quite an unpredictable sidebar behaviour in this regards. As for bug 68806, it seems to be about the same.
Bug persists in Writer in LO 4.2.5.2, Windows 7. Spacing always shows 23,63 pc (= 100mm) in sidebar for any given spacing formatting. I have to put cursor on any other paragraph style to have a good behaviour back in sidebar. If I close the sidebar, or change view to other pane, then go back to "Properties" pane, problem reappears.
I hope this particular case is fixed with http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=9a410f9cedbce5276aea48479812ff68210712b0. The sidebar now shows 1cm & -1cm as it should.
