Can you confirm that its still happening in 4.1.6 or 4.2.4.
Comment 2 oconcepcion 2014-06-16 13:33:40 UTC
Yes, it still happens on different computers and different environments (in LAN at office and not LAN at home)with various versions of LO.
Comment 3 Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired) 2014-06-16 20:48:40 UTC
Does it happen in all documents you try and does it happen with other languages as well or just Spanish.
Comment 4 oconcepcion 2014-06-17 15:19:17 UTC
I haven't tried in any other language but spanish.
I assume you're suggesting I test spellcheck in... English may be?
Comment 5 Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired) 2014-06-17 17:08:42 UTC
Yes it would be nice to try and pinpoint whether the problem is with the spanish dictionary or the spell checking routines.

Just a simple spreadsheet with some spelling errors.
Comment 7 Niklas Johansson 2014-06-17 18:41:22 UTC
I can reproduce with LibreOffice 4.2.4 on Windows 7 64-bit. I used the spreadsheet that I attached to this bug. It contains some misspelled words in English with the language set to English (USA). I also tried it using Swedish so it is not likely that it is the dictionaries that is the problem.

Note that the issue is with the spell checker dialog and I only tested it in LibreOffice Calc.
Comment 8 Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired) 2014-06-17 20:09:08 UTC
Tested Niklas' document in Windows 7 and Linux Mint with 4.2.4 and couldnt reproduce the freezing dialog.

Checked https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=101262 in MX-14/Debian Wheezy with LibO-4.1.6.2 with no problems.

In English first, then added Spanish text and it checked as well.

As this seems to be something that we cant reproduce, is it possible for you to send in a backtrace using the details found at < https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg >.
