Description Peter Kaimer 2014-07-03 08:17:14 UTC
Problem description: If I use the adjustment of the printer for duplexprinting it will not work properly with Libreoffice (only - pdf-print and Emailprint works)

Steps to reproduce:
1. create a document
2. adjust the printing routine: long edge, shaft automatic, duplex installed,
3. print

Current behavior: if I adjust the properties of the printer: paper - ignore, shaft - ignore, then the printer will work correct and make a duplex print

Expected behavior: If I adjust as expected no duplex printing works

Operating System: Linux (Other)
Version: 4.2.4.2 release

Hi, I have the same printer but could not reproduce, duplex printing is correct.
I create a writer document, then File > Print.
In the Print dialog, click on Property. Then click on the Device tab and in the Options area, select Duplexer Installed, then in the Current Value area, select Installed. Then under the Page tab, select Long Edge (Standard) in the Duplex area. (Names of the areas may be a bit different due to my French environment). I'm under Ubuntu 14.04.
Could you please describe the exact settings you have in the Property dialog. Thanks.

Hi, here are the informations you need:

If I use the Long Edge (Standard) in the Duplex area it will not work
(no Duplex print). If I use the <ignore> option in this area Duplex
printing works.
My OS is Mint 17, LibreOffice 4.2.4.2, hplip ist 3.14.3 and - this may
be important - the complete system works under German language.

best wishes - Peter.
