Description jhchoe 2014-07-07 04:46:20 UTC
Problem description: Not really a problem, just something to look into for a more convenient use of a software.

Steps to reproduce:
1. ....
2. ....
3. ....

Current behavior: When I copy the document text, it seems to save the text within the software. So when I copy the text and close the program, copied text just disappears into thin air.

Expected behavior: Copied text should be save into some cache within the operating system or a main thread running the whole OS system so that the data isn't lost after the program is closed.
Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master

some basic misunderstanding here > close
Comment 2 jhchoe 2014-07-07 06:43:11 UTC
I forgot to mention that the document isn't saved. So to be more precise, the copied text is from the new document that was closed without being saved. Apologies is this created a confusion.

As in exit the program.

Andrew, this really makes no sense, to me at least.

pls provide a step by step description.

This is not our bug. It is a limitation of X.org. Use a clipboard manager. See (but do not comment) https://bugs.launchpad.net/openoffice/+bug/11334.

Thank you. I figured it has something to do with how clipboard is formatted or something but just wasn't sure if it was only Libre Office or not.
