Problem description: The 4.2.5 Welcome screen is certainly different. However it would be really nice to have a less intrusive option. I tried 4.5.2 and because of the Welcome screen have reverted to 4.1.6

Now whenever I launch Libre Office I am harassed by the popup advising me of a new version.

Alternatively how can I turn off the harassment?

We are definitely not going back to the old welcome screen, not even as an alternative (the code does not exist anymore anyway).

Checking for updates can be disabled in options.
