Problem description: In proper 'title case', all words except articles, conjunctions and prepositions should be capitalised. But in Libreoffice, 'title case' capitalises every word. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a line of uncapitalised text. 2. Go to: format/character/font effects/effects/title 3. The result is that every word is capitalised. Current behavior: All words are capitalised when using title 'title case'. Expected behavior: I would like to see two options: 'Capitalise every word' which does just that, and proper 'title case' where all words except articles, conjunctions and prepositions are capitalised. Operating System: Windows 8 Version: 4.2.5.2 release
Test System: Kubuntu 14.04 (KDE 4.13.2) LibreOffice 4.2.0.2 The described behavior is confirmed. In addition, I note that it isn't possible to subsequently do a manual override to change the articles to lower case. The Title Case overrides manual changes. LibreOffice 4.3.0.3 The described behavior is confirmed. Thank you for the submission. Brett, since you are using Windows, can you check to see if Microsoft Office does "proper" title case? I don't have access to MSOffice software.
Algot, The same problem exists on Microsoft Word on Mac (I used my wife's Mac, because I don't have MS Word for windows). So Microsoft doesn't do proper 'title case' either - they just capitalise each and every word. It's not just a Libreoffice problem! :)
This is a request for a new feature, so setting priority to "enhancement"
