Created attachment 103897 [details]
the image is lost

I'm working on a i5 mac (64 bit)
I downloaded the libreoffice 4.3.0.4 x86-64 version
I couldn't save imported images (the program loses them when re-open or during the auto-save where images lies on different sheets).
this bug occurred when I save in .xlsx .xls and .ods format

If I download the 32 bit version (4.3.0.4 x86 version) images are saved correctly
Comment 1 Enrico 2014-08-03 09:21:46 UTC
No save image neither in 32 bit version (4.3.0.4 x86)
Comment 2 retired 2014-08-03 11:24:39 UTC
You did not provide detailed reproduce steps.

Tried, open Spreadsheet, Insert > Image > From file, select jpg
Save as .ods
Reopen

Image is there.

OS X 10.9.4, LO 4.3.0.4

Which OS X are you using?

Please try resetting your user profile and let us know if that helps: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.
Comment 3 Enrico 2014-08-03 12:07:55 UTC
OP: osx 10.9.4
new document calc (spreadsheet) - set automatic save every 2 minutes
insert image from file
new sheet2 - insert image from file
save document as .xlsx
write something in a cell on sheet2
wait 2 minutes
come back to sheet1 - image missing
Comment 4 Enrico 2014-08-03 13:25:49 UTC
even if reset user profile the images disappears after automatic save
Comment 5 Enrico 2014-08-03 17:08:35 UTC

(In reply to comment #3)
I can reproduce with LO 4.3.0.4 under Ubuntu 12.04 x86.

But it's not reproducible with:
Version: 4.3.1.0.0+
Build ID: ce65a47f6028879337e9e133053cc397b1b582bd
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86@45-TDF, Branch:libreoffice-4-3, Time: 2014-07-30_10:54:10

Perhaps it's because of fixing in Bug 81630 / Bug 46447

@Enrico, please try again with latest daily build

Yes this is a duplicate and has been resolved. Perhaps not 100% the same as bug 81630 but fixed with same commit likely. Marking as such.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 81630 ***
Comment 8 Enrico 2014-08-06 21:56:40 UTC
yes this is a duplicate but is not resolved:
system: osx 10.9.4
LO:4.3.0.4 (64 bit version)
Build ID: 62ad5818884a2fc2e5780dd45466868d41009ec0

macbook pro i5
save under .xlsx extension
import png images
the steps are those said before
import image -> save as .xlsx -> new sheet -> insert text and other images
after the time of autosave go back to the previous sheet and the image is disappeared...all images are disappeared
Comment 9 Joel Madero 2014-08-06 22:03:08 UTC
The patch didn't make it into 4.3.0, it's resolve in 4.3.1 (see duplicate and where it says Target 4.3.1 ;)
Comment 10 Enrico 2014-08-07 12:57:48 UTC
where can I download the 4.3.1 release? it is only available the 4.3.0 version on the libreoffice site
Comment 11 Joel Madero 2014-08-07 15:12:45 UTC
4.3.1 is not out yet - it's equivalent to our daily builds which aren't suggested for home use. It'll be out next month I believe.

if you're really wanting to try: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/libreoffice-4-3/

Again - this is not recommended for daily production machines
