Description JD 2014-08-10 04:04:24 UTC
In version 4.2.6 and prior, when inputting a new entry to a base form combobox it would automatically locate to and autocomplete possible entries. After upgrading to 4.3.0 from 4.2.6. it no longer does that - autocomplete does not work and the down arrow must be clicked to see possible entries.

Appears to be a possible regression from 4.2.6.

Have tried it with LO 4.3.0.4 and OpenSUSE 12.3 64bit rpm Linux. Works as expected. Possible entries were completed. So I couldn't confirm this bug.

A small test database indicates that Text fields are the ones that appear to have changed. A Date field and a Number field are still working.

I will try to add the small test file.

Combobox changed, you are right. But combobox does now, what it should do:

Open the form for editing. Have a look at the general properties of the comboboxes. Only the combobox for text is set to "AutoFill"→"No" (and also "Hide Selection"→"No").

I don't know why it works with AutoFill in LO 4.2.6.2, but it doesn't in 4.3.0.4, because it is set to "No". Set "AutoFill" to "Yes" and it works.

Robert - Thank you very much! I completely missed those settings (probably because they were not effective in previous versions - good excuse, huh? :)

I am changing the status to Resolved - Not a Bug.
