Please add object resize in percent. It is very convenient way to make all formulas on page with equal font size. Currently It's a pain! Also please make 'keep ratio' option enabled by default. It's very difficult to resize formulas and pictures on laptop holding shift! Unlikely that anybody wants to distort it.
Hi Cucullus - So first - please 1 request per bug report so this pertains only to the first request. Not the second. The first request is valid, marking as: New Enhancement Medium Note: I have only confirmed that it's a valid enhancement request - this does not guarantee that it will be implemented. Most enhancements are tackled by volunteers and they choose what they want to implement. If you or someone you know wants to contribute - patches very much welcome.
FYI: There is an extension for change size of all math formulas in your document https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/formatting-of-all-math-formulas

Could imagine to just enter the percent with unit similar to what we can do with font size in Writer: the percentage is relative to the parent style and kept; meaning if default changes from 12pt to 14pt and some children uses 75% it effectively goes from 9 to 10.5. In case of other numerical content such as object size where we not have a relationship the calculation would run on the current value, let's say 2cm, and not be persistent. So entering 200% changes the effective value to 4cm, which is also shown on enter (the 200% are replaced). And alternative could be bug 72662 with the idea to provide a unit switch per control. Switching to percent could mean relative to 1cm or some other initial value. In this case you end up in calculating as much as you do with real values, however.
Repeating my suggestion from the dupe: I propose users be able to select how sizes are displayed in the Position & Size dialog, so as to be able to set them using percentages, with the options: 1. Absolute size 2. Percentage of original size 3. Percentage of current size 4. Percentage of page / slide size in corresponding axis Option (2.) is the most important, options (3.) and (4.) are useful in my opinion.
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #4) "Just enter the percent" is not good enough, nor is 72662, because it's not just the change of units, it's the choice of reference, and there are at least 3 options.
