Description Yousuf Philips (jay) (retired) 2014-09-02 10:38:39 UTC
Many users use the 'Export Directly to PDF' option to export pdfs as its easily accessible in the toolbar, but once the export dialog appears, they have no option to customize the export option. It would be good if there was a button in the dialog that could bring up the 'pdf options' dialog to customize the export.

It would also be good to have quick access to common pdf export settings within the export dialog from within the file type list, similar to the list below.

Default Setting (settings found in the pdf options dialog)
Minimal Size (keeps the file size small and suitable for use online)
Standard Size (suitable for publishing)
For Archive (PDF/A-1a)
Hybrid PDF (embeds odf)

When they need those, Alt-F-D Enter (in English version) is their friend.
I for myself won't pent time on bringing all that many users need under the few icons, cause people don't seem to need it so much that they use the office product as they should.
Ahum :) Apologies ;)

@Jay - always better to keep requests separate ;) There are two unique requests here.

That being said - I think the first request (and really the second) seem fine. If I understand this right it's really just an additional button in the dialog that says like "More Options . . ." or some such thing. That being said - maybe an easy hack so requesting dev input there.

So lets keep this for the button and use bug 108696 for the drop down list.
