Description karine.j.lavergne 2014-09-15 19:14:28 UTC
I have problems with LibreOffice crashing for no apparent reason. So far, this has happened in Writer, Calc, and Impress. Most of my files were originally created in LibreOffice and were never opened in other programs such as Microsoft Office. Up until recently, this was not a major issue because my files would get recovered with little or no data lost. However, in the past few days, I have lost the equivalent of about 10 hours of work due to files that could not be recovered. This has become a major nuisance and I am considering not using LibreOffice at all anymore. I am under a lot of pressure and really aggressive deadlines and losign hours of work is extremely frustrating.

karine:
- do you reproduce the problem with brand new files? if yes, could you give minimal step by step process to reproduce this?
- did you install any LO specific extensions?
- for the test, could you rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows) and give it a new try?

Finally, you may give a try to a newer LO version like 4.2.6 or brand new 4.3.1.

No feedback since more than 6 months, let's put this one as WFM.

Karine: don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you can reproduce this with last LO version (4.4.2) + brand new LO profile (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)
