Problem description: 
a certain moment when i am working on a spreadsheet (but possible also on text document) libreoffice start making autosaves. and then there appears a bug. i can not continue working anymore and libre office continues to say "saving document". below the screen the blue ribbon of savings appears and runs and reruns etc.. so i have to close libre office and when i restart libre office can not resort the document so everything i produced is lost.

Please go to Tools->Options...->Load/Save->General, and make sure you don't have the option "Automatically save the document too" checked (and restart libreoffice afterwards). This could solve your problem. Would be great to receive a feedback from you whether it really was the issue.

Also the upcoming 4.2.7/4.3.2 releases (will be released soon) have a fix for a similar problem (see Bug 71625). I suggest to update once those are released, let's hope it fixes your problem as well. (Anyway it's a bad idea to stay with an old release like 4.2.0, which has lots of known bugs that were resolved a long time ago.)
