It seems that Writer does not consider "Numbering style" part of direct formatting. When paragraph formatting is reverted to style's default, "Numbering style" is not changed. == Steps to reproduce == 1. Open new Writer document 2. Type in some words 3. While cursor is on existing paragraph, choose Format → Paragraph... 4. Go to "Outline & Numbering" tab 5. Change "Numbering style" from "None" to "Numbering 1". Click "OK". Paragraph should be now numbered. 6. Select entire paragraph (Ctrl+A) and choose Format → Clear Direct Formatting == Expected results == Paragraph is no longer numbered. "Numbering style" setting in Paragraph options is reverted to default value, "None". == Actual results == Paragraph remains numbered. "Numbering style" setting remains "Numbering 1". == Additional info == I am pretty confident that this issue was not present in 4.1.x and 3.6.x lines, so it probably might be bibisected. I only tested on Debian amd64, LibreOffice 4.2.6 final release; sorry about that.
Hi Miroslaw, (In reply to Mirosław Zalewski from comment #0) > It seems that Writer does not consider "Numbering style" part of direct > formatting. When paragraph formatting is reverted to style's default, > "Numbering style" is not changed. From what I know, the displayed paragraph is a result of paragraph style and applied numbering/bullets. Probably from ODF specifications. That would make the notice behaviour as expected.. Need to ask a dev, or dive into specs? Cheers, Cor
