This is a screen shot where the in text citation was changed to the words Bibliography entry.

Problem description:
When I create an in text citation and save the file and re-open it the in text citation, i.e. (Johnson, L.B., 1964) has been changed to just the words "Bibliography entry".
Steps to reproduce:
1. Add in text citation
2. Save and close file.
3. Re open the file

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:

Also I have version 4.2.6.3
Operating System: Debian
Version: 4.2.6.2 release
Comment 1 A (Andy) 2014-09-20 11:13:19 UTC
for me not reproducible with LO 4.3.1.2 (Win 8.1)

Steps Done:
1. Open WRITER
2. Go to INSERT -> INDEXES AND TABLES -> BIBLIOGRAPHY ENTRY
3. Select FROM DOCUMENT CONTENT
4. Choose NEW
5. Enter some data and press OK
6. Click INSERT
7. Go to FILE -> SAVE AS and save it as an odt file
8. Close it and reopen it afterwards

Is it maybe a Linux only problem or am I doing something wrong?
Comment 2 Stephen 2014-09-24 04:18:21 UTC
I'm saving them as .docx, I have to save them as docx or rtf for the class
I'm taking.

Comment 3 A (Andy) 2014-09-24 20:40:02 UTC
@Stephen: Thanks for your reply.

I tested it and saved it as odt, docx, doc, rtf.

Result:
I don't have the same result as your attached screenshot is showing.
But I experienced the following:
odt and doc: everything seemed to be ok
docx and rtf: the bibliography entry is shown, but it gets additional square brackets (-> it has then doubled square brackets)
Comment 4 Stephen 2014-09-24 21:52:43 UTC
I haven't seen that. I have it changing to just say Bibliography entry
after I save.

Comment 5 Mike 2014-10-26 20:37:24 UTC
Could not confirm on Slackware 14.1 + LO 4.4.0.0.alpha1

Repro steps:
- Followed A (Andy)'s procedure in comment 2.
- Tried saving the bibliography post as different formats (odt, docx, rtf.)
- Reopened the respective files after saving.

I gave the procedure a go and was not able to reproduce that specific bug. .odt reloads the bibliography quite effectively. However, .rtf does not recognize the fact that I inserted a bibliography at all, and .docx seems to make an effort to highlight it, but does not recognize it as an inserted bibliography function either. Can anyone else confirm this?

Stephen, could you attach the original file where the inserted bibliography reverted to "Bibliography entry"? For now, I am changing this to NEEDINFO.
