Description irancplusplus 2014-09-25 08:55:18 UTC
When a text is indented for example 2" and the whole paragraph is copied and pasted the indentation and sometimes the direction is forgotten. This is a big problem if someone wants to copy the contents of a document into another one. Then everything will be a mess.
Also a widget like texmaths works with copy and pasting so if an intended equation is edited it indentation is forgotten after edit.

So the bug is that detailed information about direction and indentation and probably other things are not store in (and/or restored from) the clipboard.

Contains some paragraphs with custom styles applied

The problem persists in LO on Ubuntu:

Copy the text from example_document.odt, open a new and empty ODT document and paste the text into it. Styles are transferred, with all their properties unchanged. However, the actual particular paragraphs of the example in the new document obey these styles only partially: indentations are destroyed.
There are two problems here: a) the destruction of the indentation settings in the paragraphs pasted; b) the mismatch between the (alleged) style properties as shown in the styles panel and the (actual) properties of the paragraph so styled as visible in the document and as reflected by the ruler if activated.
