Description Cor Nouws 2014-11-04 10:29:26 UTC
I'm sorry to see that in 4.4 the button for the Navigator is removed from the standard tool bar .. When there is some room left .. ;)
Maybe it's not so much used, but we should encourage the use, by making it more visible!

Now my idea: When there are notes in a document, there is the little control top-left (hidden when the scaling is too large in combination with the side bar ..)

Now, top right there is some space too. Add a control 'Navigator' there.
And then make sure that the Navigator opens in docked state by default..

Opinions?

AH well, left and right ...Mixed them up. (Same problem when there are elections ;) )
Apologies!

One for the UXers :-)

Access to the Navigator is given per sidebar tab, so this ticket is obsolete as it WFM.

Rather than having better access, the workflow needs to handle with the Navigator better. For instance you cannot interact with entries, which contradicts the idea of being the primary navigation means. But a proposal to improve the situation is in preparation.

OK, fine. And F5 still does it's job too.

Interesting. You probably try to take advantage of existing issues around the Navigator?

It's the outcome from the discussion about layers and groups in Draw. The blog post has been prepared and if there are no complaints I'll publish it today.
