Description Paul Nelson 2014-11-14 00:43:05 UTC
Cursor is no longer able to highlight text in Writer only -- works fine elsewhere. Consequent difficulty in editing text -- applying bold, underlining, etc. ... or easily deleting text.

Hi,

Is this an old or new document? Can you verify against both pls? How about the doc type. Is this problem specific to a particular type of document (eg. rtf, docx, doc, xls) or all? How about operating system?

By highlighting text this is double clicking on a word or dragging the mouse across a number of words letters?

I have tried 4.2.0.4 on XP and the above methods work as I expect them to.

Cheers

Following last comment, I put it at NEEDINFO.

Also for the test, you can :
- rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User_Profile)
- give a try to last stable LO version 4.3.3
