Description Todd 2014-11-16 12:35:51 UTC
Dear Developers,

LibreOffice_4.3.4_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz

Would you please consider the following enhancement to remove confusion:

With the f5 Navigator open, if you hold down the <ctrl> key and drag a title/chapter, the "+" sign will appear on the object you are dragging. This "implies" that you are copying the object. In reality, you are only moving it.

Copying would be a nice feature to have, but if and until then, would you please consider removing the "+" sign from the object when holding down the <ctrl> key as it does not actually copy and causes confusion.

Many thanks,
-T

This is a fine enhancement request.

Please note that enhancements are taken by volunteers so someone has to think it's important enough to take the time to implement. We do not provide ETA's or guarantees that they will be implemented ever.

Also asking ux to confirm - ux if you disagree please close as WONTFIX.

Thanks!

Agreed, we should not present the [+] sign there when just moving.

I've investigated this, and the code actually uses the drag'n'drop implementation. Consequently, it is extremely hard to change the behaviour - as it is the drag'n'drop implementation that sets there the [+] symbol.

I am sorry about that - hopefully it is not too annoying for you!
