The document which leads the converted doc file to freeze Microsoft Word

I exported an odt file to Microsoft Word file (".doc" 97/2000/XP/2003) and this freezes Microsoft Word 2000 or Microsoft Word 2007 when the user attempts to read the document.

I sent this converted file to someone who has only Microsoft Word 2007 for reading and editing the document. This person told me that Microsoft Word crashed when he tried to read this "doc" file. Note that this person has no autorization for installing Libreoffice, thus installing Libreoffice isn't a solution.

I confirmed myself the bug when reading this document with Microsoft Word 2000 (9.0.4402 SR-1) under Microsoft Windows XP Professionnal version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Nu 2600. I used the same host when I converted the file from Libreoffice.

This bug is confirmed by a third person. This colleague saw this bug too with Microsoft Word 2000 running under Microsoft Windows 7.

Note that this bugs is a key issue for my manager when he wants my organisation to buy Microsoft Word. He tells that the persons who receive documents from us should be able to edit them and send them back to us. Many organisations are working only with Microsoft Word.

Converted doc file with LO 5.0.4.2 which freezes Microsoft Word

This bug is still present with :
- version : 5.0.4.2 (x86_64)
- OS : GNU/Linux 4.2.0 (x86_64)

This document freezes Microsoft Word 2000 on Microsoft Windows XP (Winword.exe uses one CPU core at 100% for ever).

The attached DOC works with Word 2007/2013, Ability Write 7, TextMaker 2016/2018, WPS Writer 10.2.0, AbiWord 2.8.6. You mentioned Word 2000, but I don't have it aviable for testing.

Your file DID freeze OnlyOffice 5.1 (formerly named Teamlab Office). [tested twice]

I exported your ODT to DOC with LO 6.0.5 and the new DOC can be opened by OnlyOffice, too.
