OS: Kubuntu 14.04.1 x86 Xubuntu 14.04.1 86_64 OpenSuse 13.1 x86 Problem description: the Document Recovery windows appear without any need. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Writer 2. Type something 3. Save the document in ODF format, using either the icon or the menu File > Save 4. Close Writer by clicking on window close button 5. Open Writer Current behavior: The Document Recovery windows appears with opening previously saved document. Expected behavior: If I save a document and close the application, the Document Recovery windows should not appear when I open the application again. There is no such behavior in 4.3.4 version, and it is a regression.
I cannot reproduce it with 4.4.0.0.beta1 (Win 8.1), but could this maybe be linked to Bug 86553 (see "See Also" field)? If yes, could we mark it as a duplicate of it?
Yes, they are very similar. I have not checked in Windows. I can do it later. I do not see this bug in Debian Jessie.
Cannot confirm this behaviour with Version: 4.4.0.0.beta1 Build ID: 9af3d21234aa89dac653c0bd76648188cdeb683e Locale: en_US on Ubuntu 14.04 AMD64
Although I still can reproduce the bug in version 4.4.0 beta1, but I cannot confirm this behaviour with version 4.4.0.1. Perhaps this report should be closed.
TESTING with LO 4.4.0.1 + Ubuntu 14.04 (In reply to Lera from comment #0) > Steps to reproduce: > 1. Open Writer > 2. Type something > 3. Yep -- this is the behavior I see. Sounds good -- we can always reopen if needed! Status -> RESOLVED WORKSFORME
(In reply to Lera from comment #0) > Problem description: the Document Recovery windows appear without any need. It may be just a transient problem with old recovery data. Clicking "Cancel" should remove the problem.
