Hi, Thanks for checking. I see still the same problem in 4.4.0 RC2 Also changing from Sifr to Tango doesn't make a difference.
What is your OS?

there are more positions where text in UI is vague, e.g. some of the text on the find bar in writer
Could not reproduce with the bibisect 45 repository, either with current builds or those from around the time of the report, or on 4.4.0.2 (Ubuntu 14.04 running lxde) Setting -> NEEDINFO Please confirm whether you still see this issue on 4.4.0.2 or later, or on 4.5 master

In that case, if you can also reproduce bug 85990, please consider closing this one as a duplicate. It seems likely that they are the same theme interaction with stock Ubuntu
