Talking about the new function from bug 84504
  https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.4#Line_numbering_easier_to_apply_for_headers_and_footers

- activating Line numbering for Header and Footer with dialog Tools > Line Numbering
- add Header with some lines..
 > works OK in ENG_US version

- look at dialog paragraph style Header, tab Outline and Numbering
 > Line numbering is not activated there
   this is not OK

- disable line numbering in dialog dialog paragraph style Header, click OK
 > Line numbering is not shown
   is OK

- look at dialog Tools > Line Numbering
 > "include Header and Footer" still activated there
   this is not OK

I have tested the feature.
Steps followed by me:

1>  activating Line numbering for Header and Footer with dialog Tools > Line    Numbering
- add Header with some lines..
 > works OK in ENG_US version

2> At dialog paragraph style Header, tab Outline and Numbering
 > Line numbering is activated there.as shown in the attachment (include this paragraph in line numbering is enaled).

3> Disable line numbering for both header and footer from dialog paragraph style. Click OK

4> Look at dialog Tools > Line Numbering
 > "include Header and Footer" is not activated there.

U will have to disable line numbering for both header and footer from dialog paragrah style. only then include Header and Footer from dialog Tools > Line Numbering will not be activated.

Hi Cor, for me only step 4 is reproducible, the other steps are ok using Version: 4.4.0.1
Build ID: 1ba9640ddd424f1f535c75bf2b86703770b8cf6f
Locale: fr_FR Ubuntu 14.10. Set as New for this last step. Sophie
