Description Deac Lancaster 2014-12-22 18:48:16 UTC
In Preferences for Libreoffice Calc > General I
uncheck
    Show overwrite warning when pasting data
but when I copy data from another application and paste it into Calc it still always shows the warning prompt to "Select language used to import".

My hope is to be able to paste with no prompt.

Hello,
this is not related.

Show overwrite warning when pasting data
Specifies that, when you paste cells from the clipboard to a cell range that is not empty, a warning appears.

Select language used to import
Specify codepage for pasted data. Language (and regions in case the language is associated with multiple regions) determines how the number strings are parsed during import.

Hi,

Sorry, I don't understand. What you said is what I would like to turn off by Unchecking "how overwrite warning when pasting data".

I want no warning when I paste cells from the clipboard to a cell range that is not empty.

Can you tell me how to accomplish this?
Thank you,
-deac

Hide of overwrite warning when pasting data works, but when you pasting some special content and calc detect this, then you have to specify codepage.

Test that "Hide of overwrite warning when pasting data works":
A1 = aa
A2 = bb
ctrl+c cell A1
ctrl+v cell A2

Dialog "Select language used to import" is related to clipboard's content.
