The redesigned toolbars with the large icons set by default are too wide for 1024px screen and are clipped. That is too sloppy to be acceptable.

Yes the default large icons are too wide for a 1024px screen, which is why i have submitted a bug to have smaller screen default to use small icons (bug 86445).

impress 4.3 toolbars

It should be noted that the toolbars in impress were over the 1024px size in 4.3 with large icons before i redesigned the toolbars.

Note that the exact width varies depending on the theme and the OS.

In 5.0, we moved to a minimum width of 1280px.
