I've got a mail (Commentaar # 19 op de bug 60.864 van Julien Nabet) which says that I almost same error is reported (bug 60.864). And it says I should first upgrade tot LibreOffice 4.3.5 (Stable version). First: sorry for that, but I've installed 4.3.5(.2) and retried to open the document but got the same error.
Changed the "Version" in the basic data of the bug to : 4.3.5.2
Created attachment 111653 [details] rtf result with LO 4.4 On pc Debian x86-64 with 4.4 sources updated some days ago, I could open the file (with a quite a lot of errors present in console logs). Could you give it a try?
Microsoft Word 2003 hangs while trying to render the table in this document.
Created attachment 111656 [details] your document opened with LO 3.6.7.2 Hi Den, I opened it easily with LO 3.6.7.2 (Build ID: e183d5b) & Windows 7 Home Premium. I saved it in odt. Can you see if nothing is missing? Jacques

This file loads to 50% with v4.3.5.2 on windows 7 x64 (new profile) and *then* gives the 'general input/output error'. On clicking 'ok' the file doesn't load any further.

On clicking 'ok' the file > doesn't load any further. The problem is 4.3.0 which is the first version of 4.3 branch. A version which is not considered mature enough to use in production. So I considered the problem was 4.3.0 and first thought about fixing the file with a newer LO version. Once the file will be ok or "almost ok", then we may chase the bug if it's still present on last LO versions.

Can you see if nothing is missing? If I open the file saved with v3.6.7.2 it shows about 37 pages. If I open the original file with Version: 4.4.0.1 Build ID: 1ba9640ddd424f1f535c75bf2b86703770b8cf6f under mint 17.1 x64 if shows 41 pages.
Hi MM, Julien, LO 4.2.7.0.0+ Build ID: 92216be6ce13990b8ea6b6264c656d2bc1746401 TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:libreoffice-4-2, Time: 2014-07-14_16:21:42 opens the document with 39 pages, same result with LO 4.4.0.0.beta1 Build ID: 9af3d21234aa89dac653c0bd76648188cdeb683e Locale: fr_FR but not LO 4.3.0.0.beta1 Build ID: b7cfa1eab1cb1e94f71d6df6612b73f231d0bf92 and LO 4.3.2.1. This confirms on Windows 7 what Julien has found. Regards, Jacques
Hi, The issue comme from the drawings group at the top of page 16. Have a nice day, Jacques
First, thanx for all the support ! I couldn't answer earlier because my other pc (Win 8.1) has also a problem with the internetconnection. So now this reaction by the Ipad ! I'll try the posted restored documents as soon as possible and if this works, you've made my day ! The message that the drawing might be the problem, could be true working with drawings is very tricky and after saving and opening bits are moved to other places and copying doesn't work well So i'm anxious to try it out and then restore my Zorin PC with Open Office (a stable version) I'll let you know
Den: just for information, LibreOffice is a fork from OpenOffice. This bugtracker concerns LibreOffice :-)
Hello, Thanx you all for your super-support, My Win 8.1 laptop is up and running (basic, still a lot of work to do) but I could download the attachment and install LO 4.3.5.2 (Dutch). And my document is allmost complete !! So 2015 starts much better than 2014 did end, thanx to you. Den Hook
Great for you! :-) Let's put this one to WFM. (think about creating backup files)
