Description Amir Adar 2015-01-06 17:24:51 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new file
2. Edit it a little
3. Wait for about one hour
4. Click File > Properties...

Current behavior:
The "Total editing time" field shows that approximately 45 minutes have passed.

Expected behavior:
The "Total editing time" field should show that about one hour has passed.

Linux Mint 17.1, 32-bit

Additional note: The 45-minute limit is for every save. That is to say, after saving, the total editing time continues to add up, and when saving again the new time is added.

NOREPRO for the total editing time -- I got up to 56 minutes, right on schedule, before I stopped the test.

However, I will note that the Total editing time field did not update as I expected. 5 minutes in, the Total editing time was "00:00:00". Once I saved the document, the time field immediately updated, but did not update until I saved the document again.

At the very least that behavior is confusing, so I'd say that there's definitely room for improvement. I filed

NOREPRO with LO 4.3.5.2 on the same machine -- 1h 12min and appears to still be increasing.

It seems that I forgot a crucial step for reproducing the bug:

1. Create a new file
2. Edit it a little and save
3. Wait for about one hour
4. Edit a little more and SAVE the file again
5. open the properties dialogue.

Sorry about that.

Mint 17.1 is based on Ubuntu 14.04, so
Summary -> [Hard to reproduce]

Jay: IIRC, you have a 32-bit Ubuntu/Mint machine. Could you please test?

I tried on my Linux Mint 17 64-bit and couldnt reproduce.

Tried it also on Linux Mint 13 with master 32-bit and couldnt reproduce either.

I managed to reproduce the bug on my laptop computer (Linux Mint 17 XFCE 32-bit) with LibreOffice 4.3.5.2. Exactly the same problem.

Okay, so two different tasks here:

1) Amir -- please test with a 4.5 (master) build, and let us know how that works:
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/

2) Assuming the bug is present there as well, we need to find someone with
- 32 bit system
- Linux Mint 17
- And (possibly) XFCE

Amir: can you reproduce this on an AMD64 system?
Comment 10 Amir Adar 2015-01-11 08:53:58 UTC
I tested with the 4.5 master build on both my computers - problem still occurs.

I'm afraid I don't have an AMD64 system, nor a way to set one up.

Not reproduced using 4.2.7.2 Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon edition 32-bit. Waited over an hour and after saving the total time was correct.

I didn't notice Mint didn't have 4.3 pre-installed until it was too late :). I'll try with 4.3 tomorrow.
