I can confirm that there does appear to be a problem with this but the behavior seems odder than described. text1.odt and text2.odt behave as described by the submitter. For test3.odt I am getting all of the text and two of the objects from the select all.

In addition, I've observed the following behavior with test3.odt. When I select all and cut from the document it cuts the text and one of the objects in the document. Another object moves up the page and two others appear not to move at all. The behavior should have been that they all are removed with a cut.

Second, with the test3.doc when I select all and paste in a new document all the text and two of the objects are pasted in the new document. When I select 'Undo' it removes the text and one object while another object remains.

This is almost certainly a bug but it might be reasonable that this is split up into two bugs. Any thoughts?

As all issues listed in bug 87894 and here are resolved, except for attachment 112704 [details] ("test3"), I'm setting this report to new.

Reproduced in recent trunk build:

Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: baecfd21797310bb15ab98ca3962445d99e397db
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Ctrl + A, then Delete: leaves Shape1 and Image1 unscathed. In OOo 3.3 too (in addition to the circle shape).

The fact that the two objects that don't get selected are anchored to page makes it similar to bug 74231.
Comment 8 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-11-20 20:30:05 UTC
Turns out it's any object anchored to page, and this has been deemed "not a bug" previously because a "select all" action does not select the page (which the object is anchored to).
