Description icerabbit 2015-01-23 16:16:51 UTC
User has a table with let's say 12 rows and 24 columns.

Top row is description.

Then per row.
Two manual data entry cells in col 1 and 2 and then a calculation in 3 (+, avg or something else) is performed. Repeat for whole row.

All rows share the same layout and functionality. Formulas are vertically dragged from the first data row through the column. (faster and easier)

Now here's the thing. A previous enhancement request works now, in that an inserter row between two of the same existing rows, inherits the styling but not the calculations.

Inserting a new row in-between any two rows above, all the cells will be plain text.

So as a user I have to then, manually drag the formula over up/down from each third cell. Which gets tedious when you're adding a row here and there over time, vs having it inherit style + functions.

Propose for there, if not a new default to smart insert row, for there to be INSERT ROW SIMPLE and INSERT ROW SMART (( for lack of better wording )) or something to that extent, which will look at the row higher and lower, and say, hey I'm in the middle of these calculations and breaking the chain, let me be a calculation cell too.

Please adjust and categorize/assign etc as needed. I'm never entirely sure what the best way is.

Hope to see this improved soon.

Thank you for listening.

Setting as new, valid enhancement.
