Hi Reinhard,

Thanks for reporting... I cannot confirm however.

4.4.0.2 Ubuntu 32 bits: the tool tips are just there when I hover the recorded changes..

Hi Cor,

Thank you for the feed back, I may be due to my system, but the question is: Why does LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 (Build-ID: 350m1(Build:2)) on the same system display the tool-tips?
Comment 4 Cor Nouws 2015-01-23 21:55:17 UTC
Hi Reinhard,

Looking in the options, I see that Options > LibreOffice > General .. Help tips also toggles this one ;)
So I set as WorksForMe. OK?

Hi Cor,

I seems to be a Debian/GNOME issue, I tried 32 and 64-bit versions of Linux mint (Cinnamon and Mate) and I was not able to reproduce the bug, even testing several LO versions.

On the contrary, activating the Help tips did not change anything.

My OS: Version 7.8 (wheezy) (64-Bit), Kernel Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64, GNOME 3.4.2

LO version: Version: 4.3.5.2 Build-ID: 3a87456aaa6a95c63eea1c1b3201acedf0751bd5
Comment 6 Reinhard Lamsfuss 2015-01-26 07:53:37 UTC
I mean, activating the both tips (short and long) in LO 4.3.5.2 as well as in 4.4.0.2 does not help at all. So it seems to be really a
--> Debian/GNOME related issue

@Reinhard - how did you install 4.0.4.2 on your Debian machine?

Download from libreoffice.org

Reinhard: now LibreOffice works with GTK+3. Is the problem gone for you with LibreOffice version 5.2.x?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
