!!!!
This happens when there are two attached monitors OR when there is one attached monitor.
Using only the built-in laptop screen this does not happen.
!!!

Some more information of my system:
Gentoo Linux x86_64, gcc-4.8.3, glibc-2.19-r1
Libreoffice version: 4.2.8.2

Can't reproduce in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS LO Version: 4.2.7.2 Build ID: 420m0(Build:2). Two attached monitors using nvidia optimus on Thinkpad T420s.

Can you reproduce the problem with more recent libreoffice versions? This is probably a symptom for some uncatched errors in a special cases. Can you run strace or gdb with enabled debug symbols?

So, I am trying to build 4.3.5.2 with debug USE flag on gentoo.
But currently I get this:
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.3.5.2/work/libreoffice-4.3.5.2/forms/Library_frm.mk:10: recipe for target '/var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-4.3.5.2/work/libreoffice-4.3.5.2/instdir/program/libfrmlo.so' failed

Hi Tobias,
do you have any news? Can you retest with the new LibreOffice version?

Best,
Marina

no feedback after many months about a bug reported against a now obsolete LibO release 4.2.8 that no other Linux user was able to reproduce

I set status to RESOLVED WORKSFORME

feel free to reopen if the bug persists in up to date LibO releases
