Description jirka 2015-02-02 17:07:09 UTC
I have some documents on my server. Clients are Mac OS (10.10.2). When I have file opened on one computer and try to open the same file on other computer, it shows only the error message: Error during shared access to FILENAME.

This appears only if clients are connected using AFP. When clients are connected using SMB, the second client show me the file with read-only open-the-copy option.

It looks like OO bug: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=29284

Any particular documents or all document types ?

I tested this recently with regard to bug 40907 in comment 35 and my OSX master build, and it works for me, hence I resolved the issue.

I have the problem with all documents.
But I test it right now again and I found, that problem is only if the files are saved at Linux machines (Synology - x86 version - the last release, Debian - 7.5 wheezy stable).

When the files are saved at Mac OS X Server or accessible using standard Mac OS sharing, everything works OK!

The AFP support on some distribs is flakey and the netatalk packages old - I've noticed this on Ubuntu-based (12.04, 14.04) distros where current AFP sharing causes system lock up or is so slow to the client that it drops the connection
