Description topals 2015-02-07 20:14:35 UTC
In version Libre Office and 4.4.0.2 I was very happy with new icons, including the icon for inserting a page break. However, the break does not work. When I click on the icon,, page breaks "and later choose the new style of the next page happens to the previous page gets the same style as the last.

Hmmm

> When I click on the icon,, page breaks

So it sounds like the icon/button does in fact work? (I tested here, and the button creates a page break, as expected)

I have no idea what you're trying to say here. Please rephrase

Status -> NEEDINFO

(please change status back to UNCONFIRMED after you rephrase the wording here. Thanks)

The first page is the ,,default" style. I have clicked on the icon for the page break. On the next page choose the style ,,landscape“. Now both the first and second page with the same style,, landsape ".
This is wrong. The first page should be the ,,default“ style.

The sequence of operations:
1. I have the first page -,, default "style
2. I break page (the icon for the page break)
3. I choose the new style (style,, landscape "page)
4. Result = first and second pages have the same style,, landscape".

The result should be the first page -,, default "style and second page- style,, landscape".

The error manifests itself in another way that I've found.
1. I have the master document included in the footer with the numbers
2. I insert another document that has included the footer without numbering
Result = The numbering does not follow the one which is in a master document, but continues in the following order 1, 2, 3 ...

My mistake this is reported as an ,,Error saving document imported into the master document"!

Cleaned steps a bit.

According to help, what you are observing is the intended result: https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Insert_Manual_Break

"You can also insert a page break by pressing Ctrl+Enter. However, if you want to assign the following page a different Page Style, you must use the menu command to insert the manual page break."

Closing as invalid. If LibreOffice changed the page break to break styles by default, it would mess up the established workflow of millions of people.
