Description dlingard2002 2015-02-12 16:44:36 UTC
I'm using Calc and Writer on Win 7 on a PC. I use the File>Recent Documents list quite a lot but I find it a little awkward in that the docs listed are in order of use. Is it possible to sort the list - on type of document, say, or colour code the background of the list so all Write docs are on a pink background, all the Calc docs on a green ground for example?

Tools>Customise seems to be pretty comprehensive but I can't see a way to achieve what I want. TIA, David

Sure, why not. Adding to the laundry list of bug 61174.

UX team: we have two different possibilities proposed here. Can you take a look?

Guess the idea is to sort first by module and then by date.

Untitled1.odt
MyDocument.odt
OldStuff.odt
-
Untitled1.ods
AnotherSheet.ods
-
PresentationX.opd

The total number of items should take separators into account.

sorting entries module-wise seems to be an improvement for many listed documents but not as much for just a few

giving the entries a colorful background related to the used modules-icons seems always a good idea

Sorting recent documents depending on there modules would also improve the Start-Center.

Is this a duplicate of Bug 56696?
