Created attachment 113654 [details] File Writer cannot open I had to fill in a file in .docx format, so I opened it with Writer and saved it in odt format. After filling it completely, I save it in odt and export it in docx to send back. After that I closed Writer, launched it again and tried to open the odt file. Writer hangs almost immediately. I tried again many times with the same result. I tried to open the docx file (exactly the same content as the odt one) and it worked like a charm. You will find enclosed the odt file.
I can open the file you uploaded under Win86x64 using LibO 4.3.5.2 try upgrading to latest 4.3.6.2 or 4.4.1.2 to see if it fix things.
So I assume attachment 113654 [details] is supposed to be the one causing immediate hanging. Does not hang for me on Linux. Please try with a newer version. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away. Works on a fresh installation of LibreOffice 4.4.0.3. May be a problem with configuration.
